Group B has finished a while back and last matches of group A are underway with playoffs about to kick off at Areena #3 by SteelSeries & Jimms PC Store in Helsinki. Some issues rose in the morning as some of the computers at Pelitalo were found to be faulty, meaning only seven teams could play at a time and the schedule had to be changed. For those who haven't been following the action, below are the teams that were picked in the morning using the snake-draft format. First pick went to Joona "natu" Leppänen, while Slaava "Twista" Räsänen was stuck with the last pick of first round.
Aleksi "allu" Jalli's squad topped group B, with Räsänen's team coming in second. Jesse "KHRN" Grandell had to settle for third, while Leppänen wasn't able to win any games and had to settle for the last seed. Timi "aslak" Verkkoperä showed impressive form as he had a rating of 1.57 after his team finished second in group A, while Miikka "suNny" Kemppi's team placed first with a 2-0-1 record.
Playoffs will start with a single elimination round to make up for the delays, but the final four will be played out in a standard double elimination best-of-one bracket. |
