Bad Monkey Gaming won the 2014 edition of GameGune following a 2-0 victory over Ultimate Gaming in the grand final (16-10 on de_nuke, 16-7 on de_inferno). Five teams from across Europe gathered in Bilbao for the three-day Spanish event, hoping to get their hands on the highly-coveted €5,000 cheque and the spot at this year's ESWC world finals. As Copenhagen Games champions, Bad Monkey Gaming were highly favoured to win the tournament, and the Swedish-Spanish mixture certainly did not disappoint as they topped the round robin on a perfect 4-0 record and with an impressive +50 round record.
In the semi-finals, Bad Monkey eased past OverGaming 2-0 to set up an interesting final against Ultimate Gaming, who had defeated compatriots Imaginary Gaming 2-0. During the group stage, Bad Monkey had thrashed Ultimate 16-3, and even though things were not as easy for them this time around, Zainab "zAAz" Turkie's side still managed to run out 2-0 victors. Since Bad Monkey had already secured a place at the ESWC finals as defending champions, Ultimate will get the place at the event in Paris. GameGune 2014Best of 2 GameGune 2014 Final Standings:
